This happened on Monday as the Brazilian players were arriving at their hotel in Moscow. The “Pistol Canary”, as the mascot is known in Brazil, was leading a throng of fans in front of the hotel, when security stepped in and removed him. Apparently they were unaware that the mascot was an official part of the entourage. Once the confusion was cleared up, however, the Canarinho returned, to the cheers of the fans.

Of course the whole thing was caught on video.
