Why is it a big deal? Well, Judge Moro is presiding over the biggest corruption case in Brazilian history, a case that started as an investigation into irregularities in a car wash, but that exposed tentacles of corruption that spread over all of Latin America.
Moro was not afraid to go after the big names, thus earning himself the respect of many Brazilians, and also the anger of many powerful men.
