While Brazil is famous for her beaches, few people know that it is also home to the world’s largest wetland, called the Pantanal, located in the state of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul (see here for a primer on the Brazilian states). This enormous swamp covers roughly 75,000 square miles, and even extends into portions of Bolivia and Paraguay.
